Nicola Sammeroff is a multi-faceted creative person with roles spanning
writer, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. A graduate of the University of
Toronto, she studied English and Anthropology, paving the way for her
three-decade journey in vastly diverse endeavors.  A lover of music and art, it’s not uncommon to spot Nicola dancing and singing in her kitchen much to the chagrin of her three daughters. With a zest for life that she describes as “collecting experiences”, travel holds a special place in her heart. She dreams of setting foot in every country she has discovered through the pages of her expansive book collection. She lives in Toronto, Canada.

Brittany Oliver lives in Ontario, Canada and has been a storyteller and poet her entire life. She is currently focused on adult fiction novels, but family life will always inspire her to create poetry that others can relate to. She is passionate about women’s healthcare and has witnessed hundreds of birth stories unfold as a registered midwife. Talk about inspiring! Her personal birth poem is published in An Anthology of Canadian Birth Stories.  Brittany’s taste in reading, like her taste in most things, is entirely mood dependent. She loves eerie, dystopian worlds, light-hearted rom coms, and is willing to take a chance on anything in between. When she isn’t catching babies or running after her own, she enjoys nature hikes filled with daydreams, dinners with friends, a good volleyball game, and a glass of wine to wind down the night.

With his life forever changed and not knowing what the future held, he left everything behind and fled to the Amazon rainforest. There, Harry found the peace his mind so desperately needed, but it opened the door to so much more healing. He had the opportunity to also heal two orphaned ocelots, and it awakened something indescribable in him. Now, with his non-profit organization, Emerald Arch, he hopes to help more veterans with PTSD while also protecting land in the Ecuadorian Amazon. His story showcases trauma, resilience, and determination while navigating the darkest parts of his mental health. When not working with wild animals or the land in which they live, Harry writes in the beautiful Pacific Northwest while enjoying all nature has to offer with his wife and their two dogs.

Huck Beard lives in beautiful Western Pennsylvania with his handsome husband and their ridiculous Portuguese Water Dog, Humphrey. By day, he is creative director and photographer at a city magazine; in his off hours, he writes grim historicals inhabited by characters who spend too much time in eerie lighthouses, underground abbeys, and haunted prisons. A classically trained musician, he has sung with orchestras, opera companies, and chamber choirs throughout the Northeast. He loves to travel, plays tournament racquetball, and makes pasta by hand. He is now writing his fourth novel.

If lives were paintings, Nadezh Frank’s would be a Jackson Pollock—a constellation of linguistics, photojournalism, fashion, and philosophy spread across continents. From Moscow to London, Paris to New Orleans, Prague to Munich and Zurich, her global perspective shapes her work. After years capturing visual narratives, Nadezh transitioned to creative writing, channeling her photographer’s eye for human complexity into prose and poetry. Fluent in English, French, and Russian, she draws from a rich cultural background to shape her artistic vision.

Nadezh often compares creativity to a garden where the seed of conceptual thought is nourished by the soil of tangible experience. So when she’s not writing her second novel or reading the likes of Alan Watts, you might find her bouldering in the Magic Woods or lending a hand on a local farm.

Her working manuscript, The Benefactor of Snails, explores the intersections of identity, memory, love, and control within an upmarket speculative framework.

Heather Rovet is a Toronto-based real estate professional, author-in-progress, and public advocate known for her resilience, courage, and commitment to empowering people impacted by romance fraud and emotional abuse.

Her life changed when she became involved with a charming, calculated con artist—a man later exposed in the Amazon Prime documentary ROMCON: Who the F**k Is Jason Porter? Through uncovering the truth, Heather gained an unfiltered look into how emotional predators weaponize trust, distort reality, and even manipulate the criminal justice system to evade accountability. She single-handedly took a predator off the streets. Instead of retreating, she stepped into advocacy, offering clarity and courage to others facing similar harm.

Today, Heather blends her professional background with lived experience to speak about emotional abuse, coercive control, digital-age deception, and the often overwhelming nature of navigating the justice system as a victim. She is currently writing her first book, which blends memoir and psychology to illuminate how this kind of manipulation and abuse happens—and how to reclaim your power on the other side.

Her mission is to ensure that no victim feels alone, ashamed, or powerless in the wake of betrayal and manipulation—and to empower others to trust their instincts, find their voice, and rebuild from a place of strength. She lives in Toronto with her rescue dog, Tommy, whose spirited Cairo origins remind her daily of resilience and second chances.
